A couple of months before my wedding we happened to attend a "garage sale" held by a NYC event company. Seems they were getting rid of some event inventory so we picked up a few of the things below and repurposed them for the wedding.
We pulled off the taper candle part of the above (plastic) candle holders and gave them a more modern pillar candle to dress up some smaller cocktail rounds that were scattered throughout the reception.
The event company had also purchased some floor lamps from IKEA and made a lampshade from plastic boxwood. I purchased some more boxwood online to make a few more lamps, we also added some ribbon and a pink light bulb for the effect below.
There was a big blank wall at the top of the stairs above the dance floor and I was able to find these cool mirrors at the sale that we just leaned against the wall to dress it up a bit.
