Grace Potter and the Nocturnals Event to benefit VH1 Save The Music

Second stop last week was in Boston, where Grace Potter and the Nocturnals stopped by the Nine Zero Hotel for a small intimate jetBlue-sponsored performance to benefit the VH1 Save The Music Foundation.  The event was a huge hit for all involved and Grace Potter and the Nocturnals rocked the lobby!  The beautiful photos below are courtesy of my Co-worker Rob Davidson.

Ink 48 - Should the weather influence your choice of venues?

I did some site visits this morning to find a venue for VH1 Save The Music's Songwriters In The Round: NYC Edition and visited Kimpton Hotel's Ink 48  in midtown Manhattan.  The rooftop is an indoor/ outdoor restaurant/ lounge called the Press Lounge and for my event I'd need to use the entire space.  I'm a sucker for an outdoor event, but the realistic question is..  does one roll the dice and hope that there's good weather?

E.&J. Gallo Winery National Sales Meeting

As you know, I was traveling all week last week.  My first stop was the Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix for the  E.&J. Gallo Winery National Sales Meeting.  William Hill Estate  is a renowned brand under the E.&J. Gallo Winery label and also is the official wine sponsor of VH1 Save The Music.  I was honored to join them  at the meeting to highlight the brand's commitment to the arts and education and our combined partnership.  I want to thank Kris Vanica, Assistant Superintendent for Educational Services for the Liberty School District, Julie Richards, Executive Director, West Valley Arts Council and the students from Rainbow Valley Elementary School under the direction of Cinda Woods for speaking and performing for the crowd of 450.  Rainbow Valley Elementary School in Buckey, AZ received a band program from the VH1 Save The Music Foundation in 2007.

If I had an outdoor living room!

Today would be a great day to hang out in my outdoor living room... If I actually had one and didn't live in NYC this space would be perfect.  Picture via Dwellers Without Decorators and Belle Maison.

The Perfect Spring Table Setting

I happened across this fantastic spring table scape by  Three Apples Events.  I love how the lemon yellow and grassy green elements look with the white milk glass vases, crisp linens, and crystal.  Not stopping at just setting a "pretty"table... they paired these fantastic place cards with a Pincushion Protea

Spring Window Boxes

On my way to work this morning I noticed that bulbs were beginning to come up - I guess it really is time to take the greens out of my window boxes!  Problem is that I just can't stand an empty box and am wondering what I can plant that will hold me over until the summer months?    I found some ideas on Gardner's World - any thoughts or suggestions?

Liza Bruce's Moroccan House

Liza Bruce’s Moroccan house in the February/ March 2011 issue of Elle Decor absolutely blows me away!  The colors are so vibrant and I love how she uses the Moroccan eight-pointed star shape in all those cut-outs throughout the home.

My Mother's New Master Suite Bathroom

Had a lovely day with my mom. She is redoing her master suite bathroom and confused as to whether she can use silver finished fixtures if the hardware on the sink dresser is a copper finish? Thoughts?
