Continuing yesterday's conversation regarding wedding welcome bags I found some pictures of the bags that I made for my wedding!  First picture below is the command center - my parent's house.

I've been hired to help a client create wedding welcome bags for her guests traveling from out of town to New Jersey. I'm trying to pull some inspirations to present next week and am partial to the bags below!  Anyone have any ideas for a cool, different and personal welcome gifts?

Grace Potter and the Nocturnals Event to benefit VH1 Save The Music

Second stop last week was in Boston, where Grace Potter and the Nocturnals stopped by the Nine Zero Hotel for a small intimate jetBlue-sponsored performance to benefit the VH1 Save The Music Foundation.  The event was a huge hit for all involved and Grace Potter and the Nocturnals rocked the lobby!  The beautiful photos below are courtesy of my Co-worker Rob Davidson.

Ink 48 - Should the weather influence your choice of venues?

I did some site visits this morning to find a venue for VH1 Save The Music's Songwriters In The Round: NYC Edition and visited Kimpton Hotel's Ink 48  in midtown Manhattan.  The rooftop is an indoor/ outdoor restaurant/ lounge called the Press Lounge and for my event I'd need to use the entire space.  I'm a sucker for an outdoor event, but the realistic question is..  does one roll the dice and hope that there's good weather?

Today my intern told me that it's supposed to rain for the next 36 hours... thanks J!   I'm done with this weather and ready for a mexican vacation.  My imaginary first choice is The One&Only Palmilla, Los Cabos, Mexico!  Who's coming?

My Wedding - The Ace Hotel New York

As I was looking for a hotel for my wedding block, I received an email from a colleague who had moved back East after working many years at the Hollywood Roosevelt and who now was working on the soon-to-be opened ACE Hotel NYC.  The hotel was no where near ready to open on my first visit but they assured me that they'd be open in time for my wedding day... and they were!  The hotel served as an amazing backdrop for my bridal portraits (taken by Photography By Renee) and I really love the photos of the guys getting ready!

Each room has unique artwork and I think the "friend" wall is just perfect.

The House Hotel

One of my daily must read's is Erin Gate's Elements of Style blog and today she posted pictures of  the most beautiful hotel that I've ever seen - the House Hotel in Istanbul. This hotel is completely my style and totally my dream apartment!
