The windows at Zara

With this wonderful weather that we're having, I've been walking home every day and happen to pass the Zara store on the Upper West Side.  They have the cutest kids clothes this season, but these one-eyed manequins in the window are kind of creeping me out.. What do you think?

I had the honor of doing an old friend's wedding invites! There's no turning back now, the invites are in the mail!

 

Paper flower - Step By Step Guide

Instructions on how I made my own version of the paper flower!

 

I made a template and cut out the paper.

I then made a small cut in the bottom of the flower, slightly folded over the paper 

and used by trusty glue gun to glue together.

 Then I began to glue the petals in place.

For each level of the flower, there were five total petals and I made two levels for each size.

 

Then I glued the levels together.

 

For the rolled flower center, I used this tutorial from Jones Design Company.

Feeling a little under the weather today, but thought I'd share the outcome of my weekend making paper flowers like the one that I've long admired by Zoe Bradley!  I gave the flowers my own spin for in the center but think that overall I came pretty close and will share step-by-step instructions tomorrow.

Serious crafting going on this morning at my mother's house... We are going to figure out how to make these Zoe Bradley flowers or else die trying!  Anyone have any thoughts?
