My Wedding Invite - Step One

After designing my wedding invite I got to visit the downtown office of Publicide Inc. for a print test run!  Below is Dusty from Publicide using the Heidelberg press to letterpress my invites on beautiful Cranes cotton paper.

My Wedding - The Ace Hotel New York

As I was looking for a hotel for my wedding block, I received an email from a colleague who had moved back East after working many years at the Hollywood Roosevelt and who now was working on the soon-to-be opened ACE Hotel NYC.  The hotel was no where near ready to open on my first visit but they assured me that they'd be open in time for my wedding day... and they were!  The hotel served as an amazing backdrop for my bridal portraits (taken by Photography By Renee) and I really love the photos of the guys getting ready!

Each room has unique artwork and I think the "friend" wall is just perfect.

The guys enjoying the wedding day emergency kit that I had sent down.

Love this picture!

Furs throws are laid throughout the hotel just begging for guests to wear.

This wall is just fantastic!

My Wedding - Flat Jenn & Sean

I was inspired when my coworker Nia introduced me to Flat Stanley, her godson's school writing project in which Nia had to treat Stanley like a visiting guest taking the paper cut-out to landmarks then sending him back with a photo and a note about his visit.  Always the sports enthusiast, Nia gave Flat Stanley a Yankee hat and took him to a game.  I later learned that Flat Stanley is not a new idea and for variety's sake not all Flat Stanleys are named Stanley.  So I created Flat Sean and Jenn and included the paper bride and groom in welcome bags with a note asking for guests to take Flat Jenn and Sean out on the town and send us the photos.

Here are some photos that we got back.

My Wedding - The Handkerchiefs

When my sister got married (first in our family) she carried my grandmother's blue handkerchief (something blue). She then had it monogrammed with her new initials and wedding date and had handkerchiefs personalize for each of her bridesmaids.  The tradition was then followed by my sister and ultimately I did the same thing on my wedding day.  Since I only had family members as bridesmaids I also had the handkerchiefs made for my best girl friends!

My Wedding - The Bouquet

On my wedding bouquet I carried photos of those friends and family members who had passed. I had seen a version years ago in a magazine but gave it my touch and sealed them with lamination sheets I bought at Staples (they didn't require a laminating machine).

Bridesmaid Clutches

I made purses for my girls to carry the day of the wedding. First step, I made my own fabric from the multiple wedding patterns I created at Spoonflower and then I sent the fabric to Brooke at BeeGee Bags and she made my dream come true!

The beautiful wedding day photos were taken by Renee Merlino from Photography by Renee

The not-so-professional photos are courtesy of me...
I just wanted to capture the cool fabric used inside the bag!

My Wedding - The Big Finale The Cookie Bar!

The finished product!  A cookie bar with special sweets made by my friends and family!

I even covered the bakery tissue box in the patterned paper.

Tags were created for each jar.

My cousin made homemade marshmallows for the hot chocolate.

I also made recipe books for guests to take home.

The bakery bags that I had hand stamped!

The table was stunning!
