Making my own silhouette

I came across these lovely Silhouettes by Carter Kustera in the last issue of HGTV Magazine and thought I should try and make one myself!  I took this profile picture of my daughter Audrey and then used this tutorial I found in Layers Magazine to remove the background and make her a Silhouette in Photoshop. The finished product is below, what do you think?

I just realized I never shared any photos of my amazing engagement party, thrown oh so many years ago.  The theme was La Dolce Vita as my husband and I would be honeymooning in Italy!

Beach Wedding: Rehearsal Dinner After-Party Invite

Stephen & Katie's Wedding weekend also introduced me to a Southern tradition where the groom's parents friends throw a party for out-of-town guests after the rehearsal dinner!  What a lovely evening and I loved working on this invite as well!

Wedding Rehearsal Dinner Invite - Aquarium

We are just back from my husband's cousin's wedding in North Carolina.  It was a lovely weekend wedding with quite a few festivities leading up to the big event.  One of the events was the rehearsal dinner and I was honored that they asked me to design the invitation.  The evening was just wonderful and was held at the beautiful North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores.  Congratulations to Stephen and Katie!
